School Board

St. Patrick Catholic School is unique to the Springfield Diocese in that it is run by an independent Board of Directors who governs the school by setting policy and providing budget oversight.

The board members are made up of a diverse group of Springfield citizens and business persons who serve no more than two consecutive three-year terms.

St. Patrick is sponsored by the local bishop of the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois, who is an ex officio member of the board with certain reserved powers as outlined in the by-laws. He is represented on the board by an appointee of his choosing.

The purpose and duties of the Board shall in all cases be in harmony with the intent and spirit of all policies established by the Diocese of Springfield in Illinois and the Roman Catholic Church.

The board advises the Executive Director and Principal of the school on matters related to the school.
